X-Ray (Radiograph)

Radiographic Technology, rhetorically known as x ray, diagnostic imaging provides two-dimensional information of the internal structures. Multiple images may be required to assist the surgeon in pre surgical planning and post surgical management. Various types of x-rays are used at iRSM to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment for patients:

Panorex film is a type of film that provides general visual information of the upper jaw, including sinuses, and lower jaw.

Periapical- used to provide very specific information for one or few teeth. This allows the clinician to focus specifically at a tooth and root of the tooth.

Bitewings- are used to provide a close up view in between the teeth.

Lateral Ceph- this image is used to provide a frontal, side, or back of head view, and will provide a general view of the jaw relationship, or abnormalities of the head required.
