CT Scanning
Computed tomography is a medical imaging process used to capture a series of images of a patient’s internal anatomy which can be reconstructed and viewed in three-dimensions or individually much like an x-ray. CT scans provide valuable information that is used in the assessment for treatment planning and they can also be used to produce a rapid prototyped medical model. CT scanning for solid medical modeling has to follow a strict imaging protocol.
