PERCI-SAR

The PERCI-SAR system (Speech Aeromechanic Research System, MicroTronics Corp., Chapel Hill, NC) is a computer software/hardware interface for in depth assessment of speech aeromechanics and nasal airway patency.  iRSM uses PERCI-SAR in assessment of palatal function to determine whether a there is sufficient separation between the nasal and oral cavities during speech.  It is also used to measure laryngeal airway resistance.
