Palatometer
iRSM uses the Palatometer (Complete Speech, LogoMetrix, Elk Ridge, Utah) in speech therapy. The Palatometer is a pseudo-palate that is clipped to a patient’s upper teeth and covers their hard palate. Sensors on the pseudo-palate allow for visualization of where the tongue contacts the palate in the production of speech sounds. This gives feedback to patients about where tongue to palate contact is occurring, and can help them learn to correct it if needed.
