Nasendoscopy
iRSM uses Nasendoscopy to visualize patients’ nasal, pharyngeal and laryngeal areas. A flexible scope with a camera on the end is inserted into the patient’s nostril and video is recorded. This is especially helpful for clinicians when constructing speech prostheses for patients with velopharyngeal (soft palate) dysfunction or insufficiency.
